Orion Nebula M42 Larger Image Image is comprised of 20 images, 15 seconds each		January 9, 2010 frigid cold, some wind, poor transparency and stability... This image was obtained using my new CGEM 9.25 SCT and is comprised of several 15 second images assembled using Registax. It is more a "first test" so to say and is a result of building out the telescope and using it for the first time. Read more on the buildout... My eyesight, angle of the camera back and the extreme cold conspired against me...

M31 Andromeda Larger Image		Nov 16, 2009 Imaged with a Celestron C-8 NGT f/5, Nikon D90, ASA3200 several 20 second images stacked using Registax. M31 image NGC 891 Image These images were obtained after using a Bahtinov Mask for focusing.

Celestron 8" f/5 with Nikon D90 at ASA 3200; several 15 and 20 second images stacked using Registax. These images employed the Bahtinov Mask for focusing after collimating the scope with a laser. However, conditions were poor with extreme cirrus and high altitude moisture.

Images obtained November 7, 2009 using Celestron 8" F/5 with Nikon D90 at asa 3200 with coma corrector. These 2 images lack good focus so I've finally ordered a Bahtinov Mask so that I can achieve acurate focus instantly.

Double Open Cluster NGC 869 & NGC 884

These images were obtained in September 2009 using a Celestron 8" NGT f/5 (C8 N), Baader coma corrector and Nikon D90, ASA 3200 at prime focus. All images are integrations of 10 second images using site. These are test shots, verifying the new two speed low profile crayford focuser. Telescope was not thermally acclimated.

These images are 3216 x 2136 and may take a long time to load.

These images were obtained using a Celestron 8" NGT f/5 (C8 N) and an unfiltered Adirondak StellaCam II at prime focus. They were captured to a laptop using Astro-Snap and stacked with Registax. The images are mostly experiments as I become familiar with the StellaCam II and its various settings. I recently installed a JMI Motofocus and most of the the pictures below were taken prior to that so the focus is less than perfect.
